The gift is from Jeannie Thompson, a 1964 CU-Boulderr zoology graduate and incoming chairwoman of the who has workec in research labs formany years, and her Jack, a CU-Boulder history graduate. The Thompsons have frequentluy made donations to CU over the The lab will break ground in theannounced Monday. The facility will be a part of the Coloradpo Initiative in MolecularBiotechnologu (CIMB), a CU program to promotw research and education in areas where life sciences, physicalk sciences, mathematics, computer science and engineering intersect.
“CIMv is a community of top researchers pooling theier expertise to make new discoveriesw that have tremendous potential toimproved people’s health,” Leslie Leinwand, CIMB director, said in a statement. “Th e Vaccine Development Laboratory will provide this diverse group of researchers with a uniqud and very powerful forum forscientific discovery,” Leinwand added.
