In a letter to the the new Democratic congressman from Fairfax County said the Districtr Department of Transportation failed to give Virginia drivers adequatr notice of construction on two of the five bridges over thePotomacd River. Major construction on both began this but work on the Chain Bridge started two days ahead of the publiclyannounceds schedule. The work shut down one lane of trafficv that will remain closed foreight months.
