In addition to the land and El Camino Hospital is acquiring morethan 6,600p items of medical equipment that currently exis at for use when El Camino Hospital beginx operations in Los Gatos. The cost of the equipmeny is included in the total purchasw priceof $53.5 million.
“Wre are committed to opening the Los Gatos site as soon as and the completion of the purchasewill jump-start our activatio process,” said Eric Pifer, M.D., chief medical officer of El Camino Hospital and incomin president of the Los Gatosx location. “The medical equipment purchased is also an important milestone as it will help us more quicklh determine the new infrastructure for this second location inLos Gatos.” The Los Gatos locationj will offer acute care servicesa such as emergency, medical, surgical, intensive care and laboe and delivery services as well as orthopedicsz and spine services.
